What is the difference between a Program and Team?

  1. What's the difference between a Program and a Team?
    1. A **Program** is the top-level container for your athletes. A **Team** lives inside a Program. Both have their own feed and calendar. Think of the Program as the season-long hub that ties everyone together, and Teams as optional subdivisions within it (for example, Varsity and JV).
  2. Can I just use a Program by itself, with no separate Teams?
    1. Yes. If you want every athlete on a single shared feed and calendar, the Program alone is all you need. Roster all athletes to the Program and don't create any Teams — everyone sees the same posts and the same schedule. A Program can be the only "team" you ever need.
  3. When should I create Teams inside a Program?
    1. Use the **Program level** when everyone is together — for example, during the **off-season** when all athletes train as one group. Once the **season** starts and you split into squads, create a **Team for Varsity** and a **Team for JV**. Each Team gets its own feed, calendar, and roster, while the Program still keeps both squads connected under one umbrella.
