Why does Safeteam ask for household information?

A household is required for every athlete to ensure there is a parent or guardian contact connected to the athlete record. This is especially important for athletes under 13, but is used for all athletes to provide a reliable contact method for coaches and program staff, and to ensure every message that an athlete/students recieves is viewable by parents/guardians. This is the core of why the SafeTeam platform was created.

Why household information is required

  • Every athlete must have a household connected to their record.
  • This ensures a parent or guardian contact is always on file.
  • It is especially important for athletes under 13.
  • It applies to all athletes, regardless of age, to:
    • Provide a reliable contact method for coaches and program staff.
    • Ensure every message an athlete/student receives is viewable by parents/guardians.
